Initiatives
Regarding the ten substances and their thresholds designated in the RoHS Directive (Directive 2011/65/EU) and in the supplementary directive (Directive (EU) 2015/863), Sato Parts uses controlled materials for the production of our products, and appropriately controls them during manufacturing and shipping from the plant to prevent them from being mixed in with other products. All of our products shipped after mid-December 2018 bear an indication of “RoHS2 10” on their packages so that they can be identified as products that comply with the restrictions on the RoHS 2 ten restricted substances. In January 2019, our environmentally hazardous substances report and European RoHS directive report were modified to comply with the RoHS 2 Directive on ten substances.

Management of Substances Restricted by the RoHS Directive
- When selecting raw materials for parts to be used in our products, we check the compliance status of the raw material manufacturers with the RoHS Directive, and only use parts for which compliance with the RoHS Directive has been verified.
- X-ray fluorescence analyzers are installed at each production site, and simple analysis is performed at acceptance inspection to check the content status of the six substances regulated by the RoHS Directive (Cd, Pb, Hg, total Cr (Cr6+), total Br (PBBs and PBDEs)); the judging criteria are below the thresholds specified in the RoHS Directive. (Excluding exemptions)

- Regarding the four additional regulated substances (DEHP, BBP, DBP, DIBP) in the RoHS Directive, we confirm the content reports from the raw material manufacturers to make sure their contents are below the thresholds. Furthermore, to confirm the content of materials that are mainly used as plasticizers for polyvinyl chloride which may be contained in our products, we request an external analytical laboratory to conduct precise analyses.
